If you are looking for healing, you must look inside of yourself. If you would like help with consciously and compassionately doing so, Lara might be the bodyworker for you.
Massage Therapy sessions with Lara can include any combination of Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue work, Sacred Hot Stone Therapy, Intuitive Healing sessions, Injury-Specific work, or Yoga/stretching instruction. Her work is compassionate, communicative, flowing, nurturing, informed by a mild obsession with anatomy, and oftentimes breath- & awareness-centered. Women in their childbearing year can safely seek out Lara’s massage services as well; she is certified in working with women during their pregnancies, deliveries, and postpartum recovery period.
A life-long student of various meditative and healing arts, Lara is passionate about celebrating and learning from the experience of embodiment. She was born and raised by practitioners of Tibetan Buddhism and Yantra Yoga, and she has likewise been “a seeker” of spiritual truth and wisdom for as long as she can remember. She began teaching yoga in 2009, and the next year received her BA with departmental honors in Critical Theory and Social Justice from Occidental College. Shortly thereafter, she attended the Scherer Institute of Natural Healing (now the Santa Fe School of Massage) and became a massage therapist.
Lara is currently directing the Santa Fe Community Yoga Center, where she also teaches creative, intentional Vinyasa classes and offers her bodywork services. She hopes that you will come and enjoy her work, and most of all that you will enjoy and celebrate your precious time in your perfect body.
