We have designed this retreat to be a combination of backpacking and nourishing time in the wilderness. Many of the details will be taken care of for you, so you can hike with a lighter pack and take in the wilderness around you.
Each day will begin with all levels yoga and mindfulness, and end with a gathering around the fire. Almost every day, we will hike through the private alpine forests, aspen meadows and to the surrounding peaks. One of our days will be dedicated to solo-processing, and every day will include time for contemplation. The hikes are planned to expose you to as many dramatic views as possible, with a reasonable amount physical exertion. Hikes range from 3 - 6 miles and suitable for all levels of experience.

Facilitated by Wendy Brown-Baez, an award-winning writer, poet and seasoned workshop leader. She has guided homeless youth, incarcerated writers, victims of domestic violence, heart patients, HIV+ clients, care-givers, cancer survivors and the grieving to tell their stories through writing.
