Blessing & Land Acknowledgment | Dawn Double Blaze
About the Instructors:
Dawn Double Blaze: Oki and Yá’át’ééh, my name is Dawn Double Blaze, I am Diné and Blackfeet now based in O’ga P’ogeh, also known as Santa Fe, NM. I recently completed my yoga certification and have been practicing for more than a decade and found it very beneficial for my physical, mental and spiritual health. I completed my 200-hour teacher training recently and look forward working with the community. Yoga, for me, is a practice of connection—connection to the body, breath, spirit, community, and the world around us.
Growing up on the Blackfeet and Navajo Nation taught me the importance of community, relationship, and respect for the land and those who came before us. As I continue my yoga practice, I seek to create space where movement and breath can support reflection, balance, and connection. By bringing Indigenous perspectives into my teaching, I hope to honor teachings of reciprocity, resilience, and interconnectedness while recognizing that yoga is also a spiritual practice rooted in its own cultural traditions.
